Council Member Ben Quintana
Since joining the City Council in 2011, Ben Quintana has focused on helping Boise become and remain a lasting, innovative, and vibrant city. Enhancing Boise’s economic competitiveness and improving the livability of our neighborhoods are the top two city initiatives where Ben invests his time, energy, and leadership.
In addition to his City Council responsibilities, Ben is a Senior Manager in the Center for Learning and Development at St. Luke’s Health System. In this role, he works to advance St. Luke’s mission of improving the health of people in our region by designing strategies, programs, processes, and resources to align and develop leaders that will transform health care.

He also led the Leadership Boise (LB) and LB Academy programs and started the LB Alumni Association. One of Ben’s proudest accomplishments was starting and growing the Boise Young Professionals program into one of the largest and most successful Chamber-affiliated programs in the country with over 1,000 members from 400 different companies.
Ben continuously gives back to his community by serving on nonprofit boards, committees, and initiatives that strive to make Boise a more livable and economically competitive city. Ben is also a frequent guest speaker to business groups, schools, and nonprofit organizations on the topics of leadership and service.
With his commitment to continuous growth and development, Ben seeks to learn something new and give back to his community every day. He received a Bachelor’s degree in Communication from Boise State University, a Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership from George Fox University, and is a graduate of Leadership Boise, Boise Citizen Police Academy, and the Northwest Economic Development Course.
