Council Member Scot Ludwig

Ludwig.jpgScot M. Ludwig has served on the Boise City Council since January of 2015 when he was appointed to fill a council vacancy by Mayor David Bieter. Scot was reelected to the council in November of 2015. He has an extensive background in litigation representing thousands of individuals in family law matters, business and real property litigation.   His practice covers the entire State of Idaho.

Scot founded the law firm of Ludwig Shoufler Miller Johnson, LLP twenty years ago in 1994 and since then the law firm has grown substantially into the finest family law and litigation firm in Idaho.

Scot arrived in Boise in 1979 on a basketball scholarship, graduating from Boise State University in 1982.  He then attended the University of Idaho School of Law and was awarded the Langroise Scholarship, graduating ahead of his class.

Scot is managing partner of Broad Street Properties, LLC, a downtown development company.  He is on the Board of Directors of the Bishop Kelly Foundation and the Executive Committee to the President.

Scot has been involved in the Boise community for 35 years where he has been blessed with his Education, Career, Family, Friends and Health. His hope is that by serving the Citizens of Boise he can give back a small portion of what he has received. He urges others to give back in some way also. Scot has pledged his entire Salary as Councilmember to 4 Charities and will continue to rotate those Charities annually.

Scot and his wife Christina (a Gonzaga grad) have four children:  Isabella, a senior at Bishop Kelly,  Nikolaus, a sophmore at Boise High, Porter, an 8th grader at St. Joe's and London, a 4th grader at St. Joe's.
